Hi, I’m Will — a dad of three and a foster parent based in Kansas, and the person behind Baby Mattress Store.
Between our biological kids and the children we’ve welcomed through foster care, our family has been through a lot of cribs, a lot of sleepless nights, and a lot of mattress research. When you’re setting up a safe sleep space — sometimes on short notice for a new placement — you quickly learn how important it is to get the mattress right.
The problem is the information out there is overwhelming and often contradictory. Organic vs. foam. Innerspring vs. all-foam. GREENGUARD vs. CertiPUR-US. Breathable cores. Fiberglass concerns. After going through this process multiple times, I figured the research I’d done was worth sharing.
That’s why I built this site.
What we do
Baby Mattress Store is an independent review and buying guide site focused entirely on one thing: helping parents find the safest, best-fitting mattress for their baby’s crib. We research products based on safety certifications, materials, firmness, and real-world parent feedback — and we link directly to where you can buy them.
We don’t accept payment from brands for reviews or rankings. Our recommendations are based on research, not relationships.
